Types Of Camera Lenses
When you are choosing a camera there are a few things that you have to consider in order to get the best out of it, the lens that comes with it is one of them. After all the quality of the picture you are going to take is directly influenced by the quality of your camera lens. After all, this is what the camera uses to “see” what it is going to capture.
Normal Lens
A normal lens is one that fits a camera and takes a standard photograph. It does not vary in how close up it can take a picture. They do however vary in quality, generally a more expensive camera will have a better lens. You can however get a good picture with a less expensive lens by learning about lighting, and using some experimentation, in other words, getting to know your camera.
Zoom
Your camera will probably have a zoom capability too, and this will give you an idea of how well you will be able to take a picture of something in the distance. The greater the zoom, the more detailed a shot you can get. An example would be the Finepix L55, this has a 3 X zoom, so can zoom in by this amount, these lenses are sometimes called a telescopic lens
It is also worth finding out, when you are buying a camera if it is possible to get different lenses to fit your camera. Some cameras come with a lens that can be upgraded for either something better, or one that has a different function, such as a wide angle lens.
